Hummingbird Traverse at the Oasis…

This past weekend we headed out for some camping under the stars and more new routing.

The cool mornings in the shade provided us with stellar sandstone bouldering, which kept us happily busy until the shade took over the cliff just after noon.

JJ cleaned the first half, I cleaned the second…and all together the Hummingbird Traverse turned out to be 100% rad…

Providing us with an upper variation which my pal Dean is climbing in the photos below and a lower traverse which tackles slopers and heel-hooks instead of the big dead-point but both variations take on the balancy crux at the corner.
